MK SNAP, The Special Needs Advancement Project, is a charity based on personal success, the realisation of goals and achievement.
MK SNAP is a vibrant, positive charity currently based at Kiln Farm but moving in the next year to a purpose built new centre at Walnut Tree, where horizons can be expanded and there will be more integration with the local community.
£750,000 has already been raised or pledged, and it is hoped to start to build in November.
MK SNAP provides work and life skills training to people aged over 16 with learning difficulties and other special needs.
Through structured programmes of real work and accompanying life skills, we support each individual to achieve and maximise their full potential. MK SNAP is the only charity in Milton Keynes providing this vital facility. There is a well equipped woodwork shop, a computer suite, and team working areas where contract work for companies in all sectors is undertaken.
The work is essential – to those who are helped, to their families and to local firms. MK SNAP works with companies in all sectors providing:
1. Ethical outsourcing 2. Dedicated workforce 3. Cost-efficient handling of time consuming tasks
The team at MK SNAP provide a high quality, competent and cost effective service for sub-assembling, packaging and mail shot compilation. The work enables development of essential skills programmes and earns income vital to the charity.
At MK SNAP we don’t want your pity or your handouts – but your work. This enables us not only to help your company but help ourselves. Every task we undertake inspires pride and achievement, developing skills and self sufficiency. Your jobs aren’t just work to us.
MK SNAP offers the facilities and provision to enable every company to fulfil their corporate responsibilities and feel good about their business.
